Terms of Service
The rules for accessing and using the Kairos Academy Tech educational ecosystem.
1. The service
Kairos Academy Tech provides educational portals and workflows for learning, instruction, school operations, family participation, tutoring and authorized ecosystem analysis. Features may evolve, and some modules may be previews, pilots or unavailable to particular roles.
2. Eligibility and institutional authority
Users must provide accurate information and have authority to use the assigned role. A minor may use Kairos only with authorization from a parent/guardian or participating school as required by law. Schools are responsible for assigning authorized administrators, educators and guardians and for establishing a lawful basis for data they direct Kairos to process.
3. Accounts and security
You must protect credentials, use only your own account and promptly report suspected compromise. You may not impersonate another person, share access in a way that defeats role controls, or attempt to access another school, class or user without authorization. Kairos may require identity verification, multi-factor authentication or reauthentication.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use Kairos to violate law or another person’s rights; harass, exploit or endanger a child; upload malware or unlawful content; probe or bypass security; scrape or overload the service; reverse engineer except where law permits; falsify educational records; or use automated output as the sole basis for a high-impact decision about a person. Schools and users must maintain appropriate human review.
5. Educational and AI-assisted content
Kairos may provide suggestions, generated materials, tutoring prompts, scoring support or analytical signals. These are tools for human judgment, not guaranteed facts, professional advice or autonomous decisions. Educators and authorized adults remain responsible for reviewing accuracy, suitability, accessibility, bias and instructional use before relying on or publishing output.
6. Content and intellectual property
Kairos and its software, design, trademarks and original materials are protected by intellectual-property law. Subject to these Terms and any institutional agreement, Kairos grants authorized users a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service. Users and institutions retain ownership of content they lawfully submit and grant Kairos a limited license to host, process, reproduce and display it only as necessary to provide, secure and improve the service and satisfy legal obligations. You must have the rights needed for anything you upload.
7. Privacy and education records
Our Privacy Policy explains our data practices and is part of these Terms. Where a school controls education records, requests regarding those records should generally begin with the school. Kairos does not sell student data or use it for targeted advertising.
8. Third-party services
The service may rely on or link to third parties, including Google, Microsoft, Firebase/Google Cloud and YouTube. Their terms and policies may apply to direct interactions. Kairos is not responsible for third-party services outside its control.
9. Suspension and termination
Users may stop using Kairos at any time. Kairos or the responsible institution may restrict or terminate access when authorization ends, an account presents security or legal risk, these Terms are materially violated, fees under a separate agreement are unpaid, or continued access could harm users or the service. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue.
10. Service changes and availability
We work to provide a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Planned maintenance, security events and provider outages may affect availability. Beta or pilot features may change or end. Institutions should maintain appropriate continuity and record-management procedures.
11. Disclaimers and limits
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Kairos is not a substitute for professional educational, medical, legal or emergency judgment. To the extent permitted by law, Kairos will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages. Any liability terms in a signed institutional agreement supersede this section for that institution. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so they may not apply.
12. Governing terms, changes and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory law provides otherwise. We may update these Terms and will post the new effective date; material changes will receive additional notice when required. Questions: kairosacademytech@gmail.com.

Reglas para acceder y utilizar el ecosistema educativo de Kairos Academy Tech.
1. Servicio y autorización
Kairos ofrece portales y flujos para aprendizaje, docencia, operación escolar, familias, tutoría y análisis autorizado. Cada usuario debe proporcionar información correcta y tener autorización para su rol. Un menor solo puede usar Kairos con autorización de su familia o escuela según la ley.
2. Cuentas y uso aceptable
Debes proteger tus credenciales y usar únicamente tu cuenta. Está prohibido suplantar identidades, evadir controles de rol, acceder a otra escuela sin autorización, vulnerar seguridad, cargar contenido ilegal o malicioso, acosar o poner en riesgo a menores, falsificar registros o usar resultados automatizados como única base de una decisión de alto impacto.
3. Contenido educativo e inteligencia artificial
Las sugerencias, materiales generados, tutorías, apoyo de calificación y señales analíticas requieren revisión humana. No son hechos garantizados ni sustituyen juicio educativo, médico, legal o profesional. Docentes y adultos autorizados son responsables de revisar exactitud, pertinencia, accesibilidad, sesgos y uso pedagógico.
4. Propiedad y datos
Kairos conserva sus derechos sobre software, diseño, marcas y materiales propios. Usuarios e instituciones conservan el contenido que aportan legalmente y conceden a Kairos una licencia limitada para alojarlo y procesarlo solo en la medida necesaria para prestar, proteger y mejorar el servicio y cumplir obligaciones legales. La Política de Privacidad forma parte de estos términos.
5. Terceros, disponibilidad y terminación
Pueden aplicar políticas de Google, Microsoft, Firebase/Google Cloud y YouTube. No garantizamos operación ininterrumpida. El acceso puede limitarse cuando termina la autorización, existe riesgo legal o de seguridad, o hay una infracción material. Cuando sea viable, habrá aviso y oportunidad de corregir.
6. Limitaciones y ley aplicable
En la medida permitida por ley, el servicio se ofrece “tal cual” y “según disponibilidad”. Kairos no responde por daños indirectos, incidentales, especiales, consecuentes o punitivos donde la ley permita excluirlos. Los acuerdos institucionales firmados prevalecen. Estos términos se rigen por las leyes del Estado de Nueva York, salvo normas obligatorias aplicables.
