Import Material
Govern source documents, curriculum imports, OCR scans, spreadsheets, and AI extraction jobs before they become canonical Kairos content.
Import Material is the ingestion surface before content becomes canonical. It receives external source material — curriculum spreadsheets, syllabi, lesson slide sources, workshop PDFs, Regents source exams, OCR scan batches, AI extraction jobs, and CSV normalizations — and stages them for human review before promotion into Lessons, Assignments, Exams, Templates, or Repository.
Import Material does not own final content. Repository owns files, the content pages own canonical pedagogy, and Publishing governs readiness. Import Material only governs ingestion. This page is read-only and does not write to Firestore, upload to Storage, or invoke Cloud Functions.
CSV / Excel curriculum sheets defining lessons, workshops, answer keys, and asset codes (e.g. NomenclaturaCurriculum.xlsx).
Course syllabi and scope-and-sequence documents staged for parsing into Lessons / Pathways.
Slide decks (.ppt / .pptx / .key) ingested before being attached to canonical lessons.
Workshop / worksheet PDFs entering through curriculum imports or partner uploads.
Released NY Regents PDFs and answer keys staged for parsing into StandardizedExams.
Bundles of scanned response sheets awaiting OCR extraction and per-student attribution.
AI-driven structure extraction from PDFs, spreadsheets, or syllabi — drafts only, human review required.
Schema-mapping passes that align spreadsheet columns to canonical Kairos taxonomy and codes.
Country / grade / subject / language fields validated against Taxonomy before import promotes.
Reviewer sign-off required before AI- or auto-extracted material can flow into canonical surfaces.
